◆ 초록

이 논문에서는 코리언의 정서공동체 형성 방안을 남과 북, 동북아지역의 코리언 디아스포라의 제사문화에 드러나는 본향의식을 통해 제시해보고, 이를 통해 분단 극복의 의지를 돈독히 하고자 한다.

남과 북의 주민들은 본토에 거주하면서 본향을 언제라도 찾을 수 있는 존재이므로, 제사의 본질적 의미인 조상 추모와 효의 연장 기제로 제사를 인식하면서 편의를 쫓아서 제사를 축소 변형하고, 그 의미를 희석하는 경향성이 크다.

그에 비해 재중조선족이나 고려인, 재일조선인들은 이동권이 제약되고, 거주국 문화와 자기 민족문화가 충돌하는 가운데 문화향유권을 제약받는 열악한 상황 속에서, 제사를 본향의식의 발현 기제로 고수하고 있다. 이들에게 제사는 조상 추모라는 제사의 본질보다도 자신의 뿌리를 더듬어 확인하고 이국땅에서 지친 심신을 치유받을 수 있는 위안의 장치로써 위상을 갖는다. 이주 과정에서 제사문화가 변형되었지만, 그 가운데 코리언임을 드러내는 요소들을 문화코드화하여 굳건하게 전승하고 있다.

비록 원형에서 변형된 형식이지만 그들이 코리언의 문화라고 인식하고 있다면 그 자체를 인정하는 가운데 정서적 유대가 가능하고, 이를 통해 코리언 정서공동체 형성도 가능할 것이다. 남북은 분단체제에 안주하지 말고 분단을 극복하는 길로 나서서 그들에게 한으로 자리잡은 본향의식을 행복한 그리움으로 변화시킬 의무가 있다.

 

◆ Abstract

In this paper, I would like to present a plan to form an emotional community of Korean through a ritual of hometown revealed in the ancestral culture of Korean Diaspora in the South, North, and Northeast Asia.

Residents of South and North Korea are living on the mainland and are able to find their homeland at any time, so they recognize ancestral rites as an extension of ancestral remembrance and filial piety, which is the essential meanings of ancestral rites. Therefore, in pursuit of convenience, there is a great tendency to reduce and transform ancestral rites and dilute their meaning.

On the other hand, Koreans in China, Koreans in Central Asia, and Koreans in Japan adhere to ancestral rites as a mechanism for expressing their hometown amid limited mobility and limited cultural enjoyment rights amid conflicts between their country's culture and their own national culture. For them, ancestral rites have a status as a device of comfort that allows them to trace their roots and heal their tired mind and body in foreign lands rather than the nature of ancestral rites. In the process of migration, the ritual culture was transformed, but among them, the elements that reveal that they are Korean have been handed down as cultural codes.

Although it is a modified form of the original, if they recognize it as a Korean culture, emotional bonding will be possible while acknowledging itself, and through this, it will be possible to form a Korean emotional community.
