◆ 초록

북의 국가담론은 민족을 젠더화하고, 젠더화된 국가 속에 민족을 영토화하는 담론이다. 따라서 이 글은 이런 북의 국가담론과 생활세계에서의가치관 충돌과 변화양상을 다루고 있다. 하지만 가치관은 매우 다양한영역을 포괄하기에 이 글에서는 학교와 직장생활에서 나타나는 사제관, 우정관, 직업관만을 다루고 있다. 연구 방법으로는 북한이탈주민들에 대한초점집단면접방법을 사용했다. 북의 국가담론이 생산하는 가치관은 국가와 민족처럼 공식적이면서 추상적인 가치가 부부, 부자, 친구 관계라는 개인적-사적 관계에서의 정서적이고 구체적인 가치들을 압도하며 지배한다. 게다가 북은 태어난 곳에서학교와 직장을 다니기 때문에 개인적-사적 친함이 만연한 사회이다. 그러나 국가담론이 이런 친함은 정치화하고 국가화하기 때문에 균열은 필연적이다. 게다가 고난의 행군은 이런 균열을 전면화하는 계기가 되었다. 어머니로서 스승의 상이 무너지고, 친구 간에도 이해타산적 계산이 도입되었다. 또한, 장마당을 중심으로 한 시장의 발달은 사적 이익의 추구 및 정치권력과 경제권력 사이의 공모를 만들어냈다. 하지만 개인주의가 필연적이라는것은 아니다. 민족의 가족화에 따른 국가화라는 퇴행의 가능성도 여전히 존재한다.

 

◆ Abstract

North Korea's national discourse is one that territorializes the nation as a gendered state. Thus, this article deals with the conflict and change of values between North Korea's national discourse and the life world. However, since there are a wide range of values, this article focuses on the teacher-student relationships, friendships, and occupations among individuals in schools and workers. A focus group interview method with North Korean defectors was used as the research method.

The values produced by North Korea's national discourse overwhelm and dominate the emotional and concrete values in personal-private relationships, such as couples, parents, children, and friends. In addition, in the North Korean society, personal-private intimacy is widespread because people go to school and work in the place they were born.

However, the split is inevitable because state discourse politicizes and nationalizes this closeness.

The Arduous March created the momentum to bring this rift to an all-out front. The image of a teacher, such as a mother, collapsed, and calculations were introduced between friends. In addition, the development of markets such as Jangmadang was done to pursue private interests and promote collusion between those who wield political and economic power. However, individualism is inevitable.

There is still the possibility of regression as nationalization through the familization of the nation.
