□ Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to clarify the meaning of division-violence trauma and its healing. So this paper first indicates that division-violence is reproduced by the autogenic mechanism based on the division system, and thus its healing is not a personal matter but a structural one. Accordingly, this paper contends that the healing of division-violence trauma in a pathological view would isolate victims from the society and come down to ‘healing without explanation’. Then, it argues that the healing of division-violence trauma would be the social healing. However, there is yet another problem here. This is the ‘discourse of normalization’ which cuts the present off from the past. Such discourse has a problem that creates an illusionary space which maintains an old condition reproducing the division-violence and makes it seem like a new one by disguising it with a new design, thereby making its healing unexceedingly heavy one. Therefore, this paper claims that in order to heal the division-violence trauma, there needs the politics of dissensus which makes hurt(s) be continuously seen, heard and sensed rather than hiding them in the national history.
