◆ 국문초록

이 연구는 『조선문학』 2022년 9호에 실린 고영민의 단편소설 <푸른잔디> 분석을 목적으로 한다. <푸른잔디>의 주제는 노동당 제8차 대회에서 김정은이 강력하게 비판하였던, ‘허풍’이다. 북한 문학은 노동당 정책을 전달하고 인민대중을 교양하기 위한 수단이다. <푸른잔디>는 노동당 정책의 문학적 실현으로서 김정은 시대 북한 문학의 전형을 보여준다. 2021년 1월에 개최된 노동당 제8차 대회는 김정은 체제가 시작된 이후 최악의 상황에서 개최되었다. 당 대회 사상 처음으로 경제 목표가 ‘엄청나게 미달되었다’고 인정하였다. 김정은은 실패의 원인을 계획경제에 맞지 않는 과학적이지 못한 계산에 있다고 평가하였다. 이런 현상을 ‘허풍’으로 규정하였다. 김정은의 비판은 이후로도 이어졌다. 2022년 5월에는 김정은의 비판을 반영한 「허풍방지법」이 제정되었다. 2022년 9월에 발표된 <푸른잔디>는 경제 계획과 사업에서 ‘허풍’이 무엇이며, 당 정책을 받드는 관리자의 올 바른 사업 태도가 어때해야 하는지를 보여준다. <푸른잔디>를 통해서 노동당 정책이 어떻게 문학적으로 실천되는 지를 확인할 수 있다.

◆ Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze Ko Young-min's short story Green Grass, published in the September 2022 issue of the North Korean magazine Joseon Literature. The theme of Green Grass is "bluffing," a behavior that Kim Jong-un strongly criticized at the Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party of North Korea. As a representative work that translates Workers' Party policy into literature, Green Grass exemplifies the characteristics of North Korean literature in the Kim Jong-un era.

The Eighth Congress of the Workers' Party, held in January 2021, took place under the worst conditions since the beginning of the Kim Jong-un regime. For the first time in the history of the Party Congress, it was acknowledged that economic targets had fallen "significantly short." Kim Jong-un attributed the causes of this failure to unscientific calculations that were incompatible with a planned economy, defining this phenomenon as "bluffing" (falsehood and exaggeration). Kim Jong-un’s criticism continued thereafter, resulting in the enactment of the "Bluff Prevention Act" in May 2022, reflecting his stance. Green Grass, published in September 2022, illustrates what “bluffing” entails in economic planning and business, as well as the proper work attitude expected from officials who support Party policy. Through Green Grass, readers can observe how Workers' Party policies are realized in North Korean literature.
