◆ 초록

 

북한에서는 한복을 ‘조선옷’으로 규정한다. 조선옷은 “독특한 형식과 고유한 아름다움”으로 세상에 널리 알려진 조선민족의 옷이다. 조선옷은 오랜 민족문화 속에서 형성된 ‘아름답고 고상’한 옷으로 민족문화 중에서도 가장 중요한 유산이다. 북한의 조선옷 정책은 민족 전통을 유지하면서 현대적인 미감에 맞도록 한다는 것이다.

북한에서는 조선옷에 대한 긍정적인 평가와 함께 일상에서도 조선옷 옷차림을 권장한다. 일상에서 조선옷을 입는 것은 외부의 문화 침탈에 맞서 민족문화를 지키는 문제로 생각한다. 북한에서 옷을 입는 문제는 개인의 선택이 아니다. 사회주의 조선에 살고있는 공민으로서 지켜야 할 윤리이자 의무에 가깝다.

조선옷에 대한 강조는 김정은 시대에도 계속된다. 그러나 이전과는 다른 특징이 있다. 첫째, 조선옷의 전통을 고구려 중심에서 조선시대로 확장하였다. 둘째, 여성복 중심의 민족의상에 남성 민족의상을 포함하기 시작하였다. 셋째, 비물질문화유산으로서 조선옷에 대한 강조를 통해 전통문화 상품으로 개발한다는 점이다. 외부 세력에 맞서 일상에서 민족문화를 지키는 것에서 북한을 상징하는 문화상품으로 개발하고 있다.

 

◆ Abstract

 

This article analyzes the living culture and the Life of North and South Korea, focusing on "Joseonot" (Korean traditional clothes).

In North Korea, hanbok is defined as Joseon clothes. "Joseonot" are the clothes of the Korean people who are widely known for their "unique form and unique beauty." Joseon clothes are "beautiful and noble" clothes formed in the long-standing national culture and are the most important heritage of national culture. North Korea's Joseon clothing policy aims to maintain its national tradition and suit modern esthetics.

North Korea positively evaluates "Joseonot." Joseon clothes are often recommended for daily life. Wearing Joseon clothes is considered a political act.

In North Korea, wearing "Joseonot" in the daily life of Joseon is a matter of protecting national culture against external cultural encroachment. The issue of wearing clothes in North Korea is not an individual's choice. As a citizen living in socialist Joseon, it is close to ethics and the duty to follow.

In North Korea, the emphasis is on "Joseonot" continued even during the Kim Jong Un era. However, there are certain differences. First, the tradition of Joseon was extended from the center of Goguryeo to the Joseon Dynasty. Second, it began to include men's national costumes and women's clothing-oriented national costumes. Third, it was developed as a traditional cultural product by emphasizing Joseon clothes as a non-material cultural heritage. It is developing cultural products that symbolize the protection of North Korea's national culture in daily life against external forces.
