□ 초록

 이 논문은 남북 간의 분단 상황을 형제간의 갈등상황으로 비유한다. 남북한은 피를 나눈 민족이기 때문이다. 이 비유가 유효하다면, 상담심리에서 논의되는 형제간 갈등의 해결전략을 남북한의 통일에 대한 논의로 확장시킬 수 있다. 이를 위하여 이 논문에서는 형제간의 관계와 남북한의 상황을 비교분석하고 가족상담에서 논의되고 있는 내용, 특히 형제간의 갈등에 대한 해결방안을 살펴본다. 형제간의 갈등 상황은 다양한 원인과 요소들로 이루어져 있기에 한 쪽에서 어떤 갈등해결전략을 사용하느냐 뿐만 아니라, 그 전략에 대한 상대방의 반응이 어떠한지도 함께 고려해야 한다. 

 이 논문에서 제시하는 남북한의 통일전략은 ‘받는 대로 돌려주는 전략’(Tit for Tat)이다, 즉, 남북한의 관계는 우호적인 방식으로 시작하되, 상대방이 우호적인 반응을 보일 때는 계속해서 우호적인 전략을 유지하지만 상대방이 부정적인 반응으로 나오면 우리도 부정적인 전략으로 전환할 필요가 있다는 뜻이다. 하지만, 우리의 목적이 분단의 고착화가 아니라면, 우리가 부정적인 전략을 사용하고 있는 때라도, 적절한 기회가 있으면 다시 우호적인 전략으로 전환하는 것이 통일을 앞당기는 길일 것이다.

□ Abstract

 This paper starts with an analogy between the division of Korean peninsula and the siblings" conflict. If this analogy works, I can extend the strategies for solving conflicts between siblings to unification between South and North Korea. To achieve the goal, first of all, I offer an analysis between sibling relation and the divided circumstance between South and North Korea. Secondly, I explain the causes of the conflicts between siblings and provide several strategies for solving the conflicts. Since these conflicts stem from various elements, it is very difficult to come up with a simple solution. 

 That is the reason why we have to consider how to cope with the responses of the opponents as well as which strategies would be most efficient in the first place. So, I propose a Tit for Tat strategy, which starts positively and maintains the positive strategy unless the opponents respond negatively. We have to keep in mind, however, that our goal is to achieve unification between South and North Korea. That means it is not desirable to maintain negative strategy forever.
