□ 초록

이 글의 목적은 『조선지광』의 ‘유물-유심논쟁’(1927-28년)의 정치적·이론적 배경, 그리고 이 논쟁에서 부각된 여러쟁점을 통해 맑스주의의 이론적 자기화 양상을 밝히는 데 있다. 우선, ‘유물-유심논쟁’이 유독 1920년대 후반 벌어졌던 정치적·이론적 배경이다. 이 논쟁은 1920년대 초반 이래 유물사관 이해의 심화를 바탕으로 ‘일월회-ML파’가 유물론적 세계관에 대한 대중적 지지를 얻기 위해 전개되었다. 둘째, 유물론에 대한 세 입장이 충돌하면서 맑스주의의 수용이 한 단계 발전한 점이다. ‘유물-유심논쟁’은 물질과 의식, 생산력과 생산관계, 나아가서 변증법 문제에 이르기까지 맑스주의의 중요한 이론적 쟁점들이 광범하게 논의됨으로써 맑스주의 수용사에서 한 분기점을 이루고 있다.

□ Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to explain political and theoretical backgrounds of the debate about materialism versus idealism of 『The Light of Choson』(『朝鮮之光』)(1927-28), furthermore to clarify the theoretical appropriation aspects of marxism revealed through various issues in this debate. The first point to explain is the political and theoretical backgrounds in which the debate especially took place in the late 1920’s. Based on the deepening of the understanding of historical materialism since the early 1920’s, this debate has been developed to gain popular support for the materialist world view by ‘the January Association(一月會 )-ML faction’

The second point to explain is that the conflict of the three positions on materialism led to a further development of marxism reception. The debate about materialism versus idealism is a turning point in the reception history of marxism by being widely discussed the important the oretical issues of marxism, ranging from matter and consciousness, to the productive forces and production relations, and to the problem of dialectic.
