◆ 국문초록

이 연구는 가족 내에서 역사적 트라우마가 전승되는 구조를 밝히는 데에그 주요 목적이 있다. 우선 이 연구는 집단적으로 경험한 역사적 트라우마가2세대에 전승되는 것처럼 반복되는 것은 인지적이고 언어적인 경로가 아니라 그들의 생애과정에서 놓이게 되는 실존적 환경이 트라우마를 경험하게관점에서 출발한다. 하지만 이때의 실존적 환경은 가족관계에 국한되지않는다. 기존 연구들은 가족 트라우마를 논의하면서 대체로 그 요인을 가족내에서만 찾아왔다. 하지만 본 연구는 그와 달리 후세대가 반복하는 트라우마는 가족만이 아니라 가족 바깥 세계인 정치적이고 사회적 관계를 고려해야 한다는 점을 제안한다. 이에 본 연구는 5.18 유가족 2세대를 대상으로생애사인터뷰를 진행하고 그들이 경험한 트라우마와 그것을 경험하게 하는 요인들을 분석한다. 분석 결과 5.18 2세대의 트라우마는 돌봄의 부재와가족관계의 해체 그리고 궁핍한 경제적 상황 등의 가족 내적 조건과 진상규명의 미비와 역사 왜곡 및 유가족 폄훼라는 ‘가족 밖 세계’의 조건들이상호 결합하면서 다르게 반복해서 경험한 것으로 드러났다. 요컨대, 5.18의2세대는 역사적 사건을 직접적으로 경험한 부모와의 전이적 관계가 아니라가족 안과 바깥이라는 ‘다중적 상호작용 세계’ 속에서 살아가는 실존적존재로서 트라우마를 경험하고 있는 것이다.

◆ Abstract

This study aimed to indetify the structure throgh which historical traumais tramsmitted within a family. this study is based on the perspective that collective historical trauma is not repeated in a cognitive and linguistic path but in the existential environment of life experiences. However, the existential environment at that time is not limited to family relationships. Exciting studies have generally indentified this factor only within the family when discussing family trauma. However, this study suggests that trauma repeated by future generations should consider political and social relationships, not just family but also the world outside the family. Based on the hypothesis-reasoning method, this study conducts life history interviews with the second generation of 5.18 bereaved families and analyzes the trauma they experienced and the factors that made them experience it. According to the analysis, the trauma was experienced differently by combining internal family conditions, such as lack of care, dismantling family relations, and poor economic codintions, as well as extermal conditions, such as a distortion of history and disparaging bereaved familes. In short, the second generation of 5.18 us experuebcubg trayna as ab existential being living in a "multiple interactive wolrd" of family inside and outside, not as a transfer relationship with parents who directly experienced historical events.
